Microschooling Moments: A more personal journey

Microschools report spending a median of $6,500 as their cost to educate one child.
How much of this amount goes to spending on curriculum?
The largest group, two of five founders (39 percent) report spending at least $600 per student on curricular components. Another one in five microschools report spending between $400 and $600 on curriculum, while 31 percent reported spending between $200-$400, with the remaining reporting spending less than that amount.
These findings can be seen as representative of the diversity of teaching and learning models across microschools.
It is also important to note that with more than half of microschools are operated as learning centers serving children whose families follow the homeschooling requirements in their state, many families bear the costs for some curricular and instructional materials on their own, outside of the budget of their microschool.
