Digital Learning Less Common in Microschools Than You Might Think

Asked their estimate of the percentage of teaching is delivered digitally in their microschool, two-thirds of founders estimated that digital learning accounted for less than 25 percent of their instructional time, and one microschool in five conducts no digital learning.

A good deal of media coverage of microschools has been dedicated to well-known provider networks with certain common emphases, including on AI-driven teaching and learning programs administered digitally.

It is informative to see that more microschools report no digital learning at their microschool (19 percent), compared with only 12 percent reporting digital learning comprising more than half of their teaching.

Another one in five microschools utilize digital leaning 26-50% of the time.
