National Microschool Founders & Leaders Summit 2024

The National Microschool Founders and Leaders Summit, convened at Nevada State University in Las Vegas October 11 and 12, brought together over 100 visionary education leaders from 17 states whose work embodies the spirit of today’s microschooling movement.

The event’s deliberate programming comprised a unique professional development opportunity for these accomplished leaders. Workshops and presentations led by accomplished microschool leaders and industry experts covered practical topics including Measuring Impact, Understanding State Policy and Regulatory Frameworks, Microschool Partnerships, and Supporting Neurodiverse Students.

“This movement is made up of so many unique and diverse models that are really giving each child a place to thrive,” observed Center Chief Innovation Officer Ashley Soifer. “As we move forward together, the friendly support and encouragement that founders share, along with considerate dialogue around differing ideas, contribute vitally to making it strong.”

Movement-building to support a sector that is not only growing but thriving was central to the Summit’s focus, and was emphasized in its closing session addressing, “What Does it Mean to Advance this Movement Together.”

“It was an amazing conference, and I loved every minute of catching up with fellow microschool leaders and learning alongside them,” observed a veteran Arizona founder. 

A first-year Indiana microschool founder expressed, “I’m so glad I was able to make it. Definitely the best one this year!”
