Know Before You Go

Transportation

The entire Measuring Impact Working Group will ride the shuttle over to Lone Rock together. At the airport, when you get off the plane take the train to the main baggage claim terminal, DO NOT take the skywalk, you will end up in a different part of the airport. Once you get off the train follow the signs to baggage claim and take the escalators up to Level 5 baggage claim. As you come up the escalators and get to the top you will be in a large area with a white tent ceiling, there are several curved wooden benches right across from the escalator you just came up. Lone Rock is approximately 8,600 feet above sea level. Altitude sickness can impact
people differently and some not at all. Please review this altitude notice.

Attire Guidelines

For your comfort and safety at Lone Rock, we recommend the following attire:

Clothing: Opt for athletic casual wear that allows freedom of movement. Given the variable weather, dressing in layers is advisable to adjust to temperature changes throughout the day.

Footwear: Select sturdy shoes suitable for rocky terrain, with good traction to navigate uneven surfaces. Consider the possibility of snow.

Weather: The weather in Bailey, Colorado at the end of January is typically cold with an average high of 40°F and an average low of 9°F. 

Please note that weather forecasts can change. We recommend checking for the latest updates as the event date approaches to ensure appropriate attire.

Campus quiet time starts nightly at 11pm until 7am.

Texts are the most reliable communication tool on property. Guests are encouraged to turn on Wi-Fi calling while on site.
