Who is Soaring Education Services?

We are a non-profit organization that helps churches and school operators by providing the experience, process, and structure to help reduce the costs and risks associated with operating new schools. We leverage innovation and creative solutions to make Christian education affordable and accessible for all.
Our team of experienced, serving leaders in education will bring practical expertise with Gospel motivation.

Dr. Jack Preus is an education leader with a passion for Christian education. Committed to this mission, he began his career as a teacher, coach, and administrator serving students at Orange Lutheran High School in Orange, CA, while finishing his Doctorate in Educational Leadership at UCLA. In 2014, Jack joined Open Sky Education as a National Director. He has since supported the team to advance its mission nationally by growing its school networks (HOPE Christian Schools and EAGLE College Prep public charter schools) and it's Christian wraparound programs (Compass Educational Programs). In 2021, Jack founded Soaring Education Services, a division of Open Sky Education, where he now serves as Executive Director.
Yesenia Fitzhugh is an instructional leader with years of experience. She served as a founding principal of a highly recognized school is west Phoenix serving over 400 students in kindergarten through 8th grade. During her tenure, she was responsible for driving the direction of the school, developing and overseeing all school operations, team building, and leading student achievement and teacher development. In 2022, she joined the Soaring team to advance Christian education.
